SACRAMENTO COUNTY CCW RENEWAL
This course is designed for students to successfully pass the required qualifications to be able to renew their CCW permit. This class fulfills the California Department of Justice’s minimum training requirements needed to renew a Concealed Weapon Permit.

4-hour course at an outdoor range.
$150, limits to 6 participants, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sacramento Valley Gun Club (Address: 15501 Meiss Road, Sloughhouse, CA 95683) https://www.sacvalley.org
This course is for individuals who carry a concealed defensive pistol and are seeking to meet the renewal requirements for Sacramento CCW.
Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from our concealed carry pistol training. Please ensure you have read through the class description and fully understand our prerequisites before registering.
PREREQUISITE
Possess a valid CCW permit.

Legal, Moral and Ethical Requirements and Use of Force Laws for California
Firearms safety
Safety concerns and practices while carrying concealed
Choosing a concealed carry firearm
Selecting concealed carry equipment
Presentation of the firearm from a concealed carry posture
Combat and Tactical Reloading
Defensive pistol marksmanship fundamentals
One-handed operation (strong and weak hand – unsupported)
Identification and utilization of cover
Overview of alternative carry techniques
Utilization of force in self-defense, both lethal and less lethal
Pistol inspection and maintenance
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Semi-auto pistol in one of the following calibers: .380, 9MM, .357SIG, .40S&W, or .45ACP
Minimum 2 magazines
Belt mounted, outside the waistband holster or a holster approved by the instructor
Belt mounted, dominant side concealment holster
Magazine/ammunition pouch(es)
Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide
Concealment jacket or vest
Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
Casual, comfortable civilian clothing suitable for training
Hat with a brim (recommended)
Protective eyewear, sunblock, and hydration
Active noise reduction hearing protection preferred
AMMUNITION
About 100 rounds of pistol ammunition (provided by student)
